With Arlene Sauer, it started as just a fun thing to do. She enjoyed making cakes for her nieces and nephews. She never thought about making this a business… then someone asked her to make a ladybug cake. After that, the business grew into Auntie Meme’s Cakes.
She joined the Regina Farmer’s Market and started to develop a word of mouth reputation for exceptional taste. As the work she did became more and more involved, it became time for a slight change in image. So Auntie Meme’s Cakes became The Cake Queen.
